A recent study done by Redfin, a national real estate firm, and the Wall Street Journal determined that properties listed with photos shot by a DSLR camera sold for $935 to $116,076 MORE than homes listed with point-and-shoot photos! Who wouldn’t like to sell their home for more money?
We know that most home buyers start their search on the Internet. We also know that under current market conditions there are tons of properties competing for their attention. And it should come as no surprise that the typical Internet user (myself included!) has a very, very short attention span. The Redfin/WSJ study showed that listings with DSLR photography received, on average, 61% more views than their peers across all price tiers. Makes sense. These exceptional photos stood out and caught the buyer’s eye and THAT was your first showing!

Video means motion and sound, not the same still photos stitched together in a slideshow. Most agents seem to fear video but it is a natural medium for highlighting your home’s features and character in a way that still photos, even professional ones, can’t do.
